Trail Maintenance Workshop at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference's Trail Maintenance Workshop is designed for volunteers who enjoy the outdoors and would like to give back to their local community. Trail Maintenance Volunteers will learn basic skills as well as how to maintain trails in parks and preserves.
Trail maintenance involves clearing, cleaning, and blazing the trails. Trail Maintainers ensure the trails are clearly marked and free of obstacles to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all trail users. This workshop is a hands-on program so volunteers will be able to practice what they have learned; volunteers should wear weather- and outdoor-appropriate clothing. Upon training completion, volunteers will join more than 2,500 volunteers in the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference's community.
