2024 Head Start Professional Development Event Volunteers
Family Services of Westchester's Port Chester Head Start Center staff members are seeking assistance with their upcoming professional development event. Volunteers are needed the day before the event as well as during the event itself.
On the day before the event:
- Set up the meeting spaces and furniture for breakout rooms (moving 200-222 chairs, tables, and other furniture)
- Place directional signs throughout the hallways and on classroom doors
- Collate printed materials in preparation for the training
On the day of the event:
- Set up for breakfast
- Distribute printed materials to appropriate classrooms
- Direct traffic and field guest questions
- Set up for lunch at 11:30 a.m.
- Move furniture among the rooms, depending on schedule
- Return furniture following the training
- Pick up remaining printed materials
- General clean-up
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Sign up for one or more shifts below!
