2024 Rocky's 5K Volunteers
Friends of Rockefeller State Park Preserve is hosting its annual Rocky's 5K, and it is seeking friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to serve in a variety of roles to help make the event a success.
Volunteer roles:
- Parking Guides (7-9 a.m.): direct cars where to park in an orderly fashion
- Registration and T-Shirt Volunteers (7-9 a.m.): check-in runners and distribute T-shirts and bibs
- Course Marshals (7:30-10:30 a.m.): cheer on and guide runners along the course route; these volunteers will need to be able to walk to their post and stand for the duration of the race
Sign up for a shift below! Volunteers should wear clothing appropriate for the weather and temperature; volunteers under 16 must be registered as part of an adult volunteer's team. This is a perfect opportunity for high schoolers and court-ordered volunteers (nonviolent offenses only) who need service hours.
