Youth Mentors

Becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister Youth Mentor is all about sharing simple activities with a child that become hallmark moments in their lives. It could be taking a hike, visiting the zoo, going apple picking or a walk in the park, playing basketball, or just grabbing a slice of pizza. Each can have profound life- and skill-building effects for the "Little."

Volunteer requirements:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be a listed driver on their car insurance policy
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of four hours a month for a minimim of one year
  • Must be willing to complete a volunteer safety training prior to being matched with a mentee
