Invasive Vine Cutting at the Guard Hill Preserve
Volunteers are needed to join Preserve Manager Ben Kleist to cut invasive vines throughout Guard Hill Preserve to help protect native trees and support forest health.
This event is rain or shine. Volunteers should expect to perform minimal hiking (1 mile) and work will be done mostly off-trail in the woods with flat areas and gentle slopes. To protect against thorny plants, ticks, and poison ivy, volunteers should wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and long sleeves. Volunteers should bring a water bottle; light snacks, work gloves, and tools will be provided.
