2024 Three Wishes Project
This holiday season, volunteers are needed to bring joy, kindness, and smiles to those who need it most. Many grandparents and relatives are raising children whose parents are not in the picture for a variety of reasons, and they will have to make the awful choice between paying bills and buying gifts for the kids in their care. Family Service Society of Yonkers's (FSSY) Three Wishes Project ensures that these grandparents and relative caregivers are not faced with that dilemma by providing their children with presents.
From mid-October to December 20, Family Service Society of Yonkers needs a handful of enthusiastic volunteers to share their spirit for the season by working with staff to verify eligibility, collect and vet children's gift requests, coordinate with and pick up gifts from donor organizations, sort and organize gifts, facilitate gift pick-up at Family Service Society of Yonkers offices, and deliver gifts to families (if needed).
