Marketing and Public Relations Specialists
Sharp Again is seeking creative and dedicated volunteers with expertise in marketing and public relations to support its mission of preventing and reversing cognitive decline. These Marketing and Public Relations Specialists ideally have a passion for nonprofit work and can assist with discrete projects to expand the organization's reach, raise awareness, and engage the community. This work includes both short- and long-term projects, including supporting the Mountains for Minds event and promoting an upcoming book. These projects are done primarily virtually.
Key Responsibilities:
Mountains for Minds event support
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to boost participation in Mountains for Minds event, including social media campaigns, email outreach, and media partnerships
- Collaborate on promotional materials and publicity efforts to ensure successful fundraising and community engagement for the event
Book publishing support
- Development of a press list
- Assist in the launch and promotion of the new book, with strategies to reach potential readers, influencers, and media outlets
- Draft press releases
- Create compelling content for our website, newsletters, and social channels to increase visibility for both the event and the book
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, ideally within the nonprofit or health and wellness sector
- Strong writing and editing skills with a talent for creating messages that inspire and engage
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, such as social media, email marketing, and content management systems
- Ability to work independently on project-based assignments and meet deadlines effectively
