Opportunity Details

Executive Administrative Assistant

Homeless Remedies is a nonprofit that aims to help homeless individuals achieve self-sufficiency and to improve the quality of life for the underserved. It is seeking a volunteer to provide one-on-one support to the CEO and serve as the main point of contact for external partners. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about making a difference and who has strong writing, communication, administrative, and organizational skills.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 2 years' experience as an administrative assistant or senior executive assistant, preferably in a nonprofit
  • Strong skills in MS Office and office management systems
  • Excellent planning, time management, and familiarity with current office technology

Skills:

  • Ability to work well with diverse individuals and backgrounds
  • Bilingual is a plus!

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage correspondence, schedules, and important documents
  • Promote Homeless Remedies Inc.'s mission by building strong relationships
  • Serve as a "gatekeeper" for the CEO's office
  • Communicate on behalf of the CEO with board members, donors, and staff
  • Research and prioritize issues for the CEO
  • Facilitate communication between the CEO's office and the community
  • Identify community events that align with our mission
  • Lead special projects with community impact
  • Create reports and presentations
  • Be comfortable with meeting platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Maintain organized virtual filing systems
