Board Member (Grant Writer)
The Phoenixx Phoundation provides financial support and assistance for college students whose families have been affected by cancer in order to succeed during their higher education experience. The Phoenixx Phoundation is seeking Board Members with grant-writing experience for nonprofits to help support this mission.
Responsibilities:
- Research and apply for grants that the organization qualifies for
- Prepare grant proposals and present them to the President along with requested documents prior to submission
- Create a spreadsheet to show all grants applied for and the result
- Share this spreadsheet with the board
Commitment:
- Attend all board meetings, which are held virtually every three months
- Commit to the annual board donation of $200; this helps with overhead so that 100% of donations received contribute to the financial assistance program
- Serve at least a 3-year term
