Social Media Volunteers
Habitat for Humanity is looking for a social media-savvy volunteer to help promote its thrift shop, ReStore, as well as help maintain its online store. The commitment is for 2 to 3 days per week (or more) for at least a couple of months. The ReStore is open Tuesday through Saturday each week; the volunteer will come in on Tuesday or Wednesday (or both) and Friday and Saturday. Shifts at the ReStore run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Create compelling posts (videos, reels, Instagram stories, Facebook Live) to drive traffic into the store
- Take photos of products and post to online store with appropriate description
- Adhere to brand guidelines
Skills/Experience:
- Experience in creating social posts for personal or business use
- Ability to answer customers' questions on Facebook and Instagram
- Familiarity with current social trends
- Creative thinking to develop fun and engaging content
This is an in-person opportunity and is perfect for both established and emerging professionals with marketing and communications experience. Social media volunteers will be using the store's iPad and receive training by the Store Manager. Express interest below!
