Volunteer Greeters and Runners

Montefiore Einstein Advanced Care (MEAC) is seeking a warm, friendly individuals to welcome and greet patients, family members, and visitors; assist them to their destination; and provide information, if needed.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Provide a welcoming environment for patients, families and visitors
• Provide information and escort person(s) to their destination, if needed
• Work closely with reception areas and Security to assist person(s) in need
• Provide wheelchair service, as needed
• Provide general office-based assistance as directed
• Contact the appropriate MEAC associate if needed for assistance, clarification, or encounter of an unusual circumstance

Qualifications:

• Enjoys meeting and helping people and has an upbeat, warm personality
• Understands and performs job duties and responsibilities
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Demonstrates good judgment, tact, and discretions when dealing with patients, families, visitors, and staff
• Maintains a professional appearance

Requirements:

• Must complete wheelchair competency checklist
• Must be able to move a wheelchair (if applicable)
• Must be able to remain in stationary position and move about as required
