2025 National History Day Competition Judges

Adults of all ages and walks of life are needed to serve as judges for the regional contest for National History Day. No experience or special knowledge is necessary—just an interest in providing supportive feedback to middle- and high-school students. Volunteers' role as a judge has a direct impact on students who seek thoughtful, helpful feedback on their projects, which will serve them whether or not they move onto the next tier of the contest. Express interest below to get started!

Registration for this opportunity closes on March 1.

National History Day is an interdisciplinary research project for students in grades 6-12. Students choose a topic that relates to the annual theme; they then research that topic and present their work in one of five presentation categories: Research Paper, Exhibit, Documentary, Performance, or Website. Students may then enter their projects into History Day competitions at regional, state, and national levels.
