Pet Therapy Volunteers

The Volunteer Program at White Plains Hospital is looking for volunteer therapy dog teams to visit inpatients at the Main Hospital and staff throughout the healthcare system to help reduce anxiety and feelings of isolation and help improve overall mood. Pet Therapy Volunteer teams must be certified (or be willing to get certified) through a qualified pet therapy organization. Reimbursement is available to assist with initial certification costs for eligible volunteers.

Volunteers will be asked to complete an application, an interview, and pass volunteer medical and hospital clearance. Express interest below to get started!
