Human Resources Consultants

Hope's Door, a domestic violence services provider that was named by 914Inc. one of the "Best Places to Work in 2025," is seeking professionals with Human Resources experience to assist its team in these ongoing areas:

  • Employee engagement and workplace culture
  • Supervision and leadership
  • Coaching (i.e. sharing best practices for new managers for providing effective feedback)
  • Policies and compliance
  • Recruitment and staffing
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Performance management
  • Employment law
  • Racial equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • HR analytics

Volunteer requirements:

  • Must be thoughtful, empathetic, and professional
  • Must respect diversity
  • Expects high performance
  • Must complete interview(s), background check, and orientation
  • Must complete Volunteer Application (linked below)
  • Must complete Confidentiality Pledge (linked below)

Time commitment:

  • 8-10 hours per week (flexible depending on volunteer availability)
  • Flexible schedule

Location:

  • This opportunity takes place at the Hope's Door office in Hawthorne, but some tasks may be completed remotely/virtually.
