Outreach and Communications Volunteer

The Westchester Martin Luther King Jr. Institute for Nonviolence is seeking an Outreach and Communications Volunteer who is passionate about building community connections and spreading awareness of meaningful initiatives to support its mission and expand its reach.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and promote events that showcase the Institute's programs and initiatives to the local community
  • Develop and execute strategies to raise awareness about the Institute's services and impact
  • Prepare and share announcements, updates, and stories with media outlets
  • Foster relationships with local organizations and media partners to enhance visibility

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A creative and passionate approach to community outreach
  • Experience in communications, marketing, or event planning is a bonus

Commitment:

  • Flexible scheduling is available
