GED Tutors for Adult Students
Ten Talent Ministries is an adult education center that helps people pass the GED exam in order to receive their high school diploma and obtain meaningful employment. The organization is seeking adults interested in tutoring others in basic math, reading, and writing skills. All materials are provided and volunteer GED Tutors work in a shared space one-on-one with a student for one hour.
Volunteer requirements:
- Must be 19+
- Must be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must complete a volunteer orientation
- Math Tutors must have knowledge at least through Algebra 1
- English Language Arts Tutors must be able to proficiently read and write at a college level
Volunteers can serve up to four times per week, depending on availability. Express interest below!
