Friends of Karen provides vital, practical and comprehensive support, at no cost, to NY Metro area families caring for a child with cancer or another life-threatening illness, consistently achieving Charity Navigator's highest 4-star rating. Driven by compassion for families facing the most difficult experience imaginable, our expert social workers, committed staff and dedicated volunteers provide the kinds of broad ongoing resources that no other organization offers. Our services are tailored to the specific needs of each family—and each family member—to help free them of everyday needs and concerns so they have more time for what's most important: each other.
