The Partnership for School and Community Renewal's mission is as follows: The business of public education is the responsibility of the entire community and it is up to the public to ensure that every child has access to high quality, high performing public schools. The Partnership is committed to aiding the public to preserve the institution of quality public education—one which places children and their families first and demands high standards for learning. We accomplish this mission through investing in programs of: Public Engagement— Creating an informed public by equipping the public with objective, research-based information on issues that shape school policy and practices and offering safe public spaces where meaningful dialogue on public education can occur. Leadership Development—Training and developing adults and youth interested in playing a leadership role in the area of public education. School Reform —Building important partnerships to create and sustain comprehensive school and district reform Our belief is that the availability of high quality, high-performing public schools is a fundamental right of every child, regardless of their economic status or the community in which they live.
