Amy's Greenhouse

In Amy's Greenhouse, six hundred Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade students do garden projects throughout the school year. Amy's Greenhouse is a living memorial to Amy O'Doherty who perished at the age of 23 on Sept. 11th, 2001 at the World Trade Center. Amy was the daughter of Ms. Geraldine Davie, a now retired Pre-K teacher at Henry Barnard Early Childhood Center in New Rochelle, NY. The greenhouse attempts to transform sadness into a positive experience.
