Able Athletics

Our mission is clear: we aim to offer tailored and adjusted sports opportunities to children with special needs through the participation of volunteer athletes from the community. To achieve this, we provide comprehensive education to our volunteers on the nature of special needs, what to anticipate when interacting with these children, and effective communication strategies when addressing those with differences. Our curriculum is thoughtfully developed in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, as well as professional coaches, ensuring a well-rounded and supportive approach. Ultimately, our objective is to foster a more inclusive community where individuals with differences genuinely experience a sense of belonging. We firmly believe that teaching inclusion is the first step in creating it.
