Organization Profile

New Rochelle Campership Fund Inc.

http://campership.org

Founded in 1957, the New Rochelle Campership Fund Inc. is a non-profit (501c3) community organization that has served the children of New Rochelle without regard to race, color, gender or creed. It has provided thousands of children with camping experiences their families could not otherwise afford. Attendance at both day camps and sleep-away are supported. The Fund is administered by an all-volunteer Executive Board. No salary costs are incurred. Most administrative expenses such as its web site and the annual mailing, are covered by grants and sponsors. Thus all your contributions are spent on sending children to camp. Each year allocations of funds to participating non-profit agencies and camps are based on their requests and the success of our fundraising efforts. The children are selected for full or partial camperships by those agencies, based on financial need.
