Opportunity Details

2024 9/11 Day of Service Diaper Packaging Event

The Diaper Bank for Westchester is hosting a diaper packing day in honor of the 9/11 Day of Service so that families in need have access to clean, dry diapers, which are essential for the health and well-being of their infants and toddlers. Volunteers are needed to help sort and pack donated diapers, as well as creating diaper bundles for distribution.

Diaper need is a growing issue affecting one in every two U.S. families, making it difficult for parents to provide their children with this basic necessity. Without an adequate supply of diapers, babies are more vulnerable to health issues, such as rashes and infections, and parents may miss work or school because they can't leave their children in daycare. Providing diapers can make a significant impact on the lives of local families, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy and happy.
