2025 MLK Day of Service Diaper Packaging Event

Diapers are not covered by SNAP benefits and many low-income families struggle to afford them for their infants and toddlers. As a result, they are forced to compromise their infant's health and may leave the infant in a soiled diaper for extended periods. Parents miss work because daycare centers will not take infants without diapers.

The Diaper Bank for Westchester provides infants and toddlers up to 36 months with a supply of diapers each month. Diaper Packages are distributed through partnerships with nonprofits, community organizations, and government programs that apply on their behalf. Westchester County Department of Social Services receives monthly supplies for their staff to bring during home visits and emergencies. Diaper donations play an important part in the Diaper Bank's ability to keep Westchester babies clean, healthy, and happy.

For this year's MLK Day of Service, volunteers are encouraged to bring a box of diapers and join the Diaper Bank for Westchester for a family-friendly afternoon of packaging diapers, which will then be distributed to families in need! Diapers sizes 5-6 and any size pullups are needed.
